In 1989, our founder, Mr. Lin observed Taiwan’s rainy and earthquake-prone environment where poor waterproofing construction quality, inappropriate material usage and wrong application methods often led to building leaks.

Recognizing the emerging trend towards environmental awareness in Europe and America, Mr. Lin had the foresight that water-based, toxic-free, and eco-friendly products will be the new trend in the future, even though the market by the time mostly used solvent-based waterproof coatings. However, imports were costly, and locally developed products were scarce in Taiwan. Hence, Mr. Lin established Heng Chung Enterprise CO. LTD. under the proprietary brand ‘PLIMATES’. 

He devoted himself in research and development of waterproofing and create a three wins scenario for manufacturers, construction workers, and consumers.
